Things to do in Surfers Paradise

With something new to uncover with every step through Surfers Paradise, keep some room in your itinerary for spontaneous experiences.

Surfers Paradise activities

There‘s no shortage of activities to keep both kids and adults busy with mini golf courses, an indoor skydiving centre, ice skating, bowling arcades, haunted houses, a wax museum, amusement rides and gaming arcades, just to name a few.

Or, make the most of the stunning surroundings and get outdoors with Jetboat Extreme Adventures, boat rides, adventure tours, river cruises or flop and drop on the golden sand and lap up the salty waves of Surfers Paradise Beach.

Want to get out into the water and test your skill (and luck) surfing in paradise? Book a surf lesson or two and admire the Gold Coast skyline as you ride your wave into the beach.

For unrivalled 360 views of the Gold Coast from 270 metres above ground, head to the iconic Q1 Resort building for a SkyPoint Climb. You can also check out the SkyPoint Observation Deck for sweeping views of the beaches and into the hinterland

Surfers Paradise restaurants

You will want to eat out for every meal when you discover the dining options on offer at Surfers Paradise. You’ll be served up a smorgasbord of tastes, flavours and cuisines from the freshest seafood platters hot off the trawlers to bountiful buffets and award-winning restaurants buzzing with activity.

QT Gold Coast will get your taste buds tingling with a funky Japanese restaurant called Yamagen or the buffest of buffets, Baazar. For a fun, laid back option for the family not too far from Cavill Avenue rock on at Hard Rock Café. Seaduction Restaurant & Bar at Peppers Soul combines fresh and local cuisine with uninterrupted beach views, or to kick start your day check out some of the best coffee shops near Surfers Paradise.

Surfers Paradise accommodation

Accommodation options in Surfers Paradise are as vast as the range of experiences on offer. If you’re looking for a little luxury, you can’t go past Q1 Resort and Spa or Peppers Soul Surfers Paradise for contemporary rooms and facilities with uninterrupted ocean views.

The Hilton Surfers Paradise and Crowns Plaza Surfers Paradise offer rooms and apartments in the heart of the city where you can guarantee excellent facilities and restaurants without leaving your hotel.

For somewhere a little quirky, where nostalgic surfer chic meets Miami catwalk cool (their words) try boutique hotel QT on the Gold Coast. The retro décor and fun but sophisticated styling puts a smile on your dial before you can say “I’m here to check in”.

You’ll have no problems finding family-friendly hotels and resorts in Surfers Paradise. The hoteliers understand the importance of an epic pool with even better waterslides.
